Kat was among the celebrities present to raise awareness for the United Nations Human Rights’ Campain (UNHRC) sponsored, World Refugee Day. The event was designed to bring into focus the destruction war can wreak on families, in particularly in this instance, the families in Syria.
“Somewhere, right now, a family is being torn apart by war, children are being separated from their parents, lives and homes are being destroyed,” said Graham. “One family torn apart by war is too many.”
UNHCR, in a bid to increase awareness, has asked folks globally what one thing they’d take from their homes if they had to flee, and then tweet a photo of themselves with that object. I don’t know about you, but yours truly has some photos with her cat to take and then share with the world.
